Rae Earl Appreciation Week → Day 7: Favorite outfits
“ It’s fucking embarrassing how good I look some days.”
One of my lit classes this semester is just focused on themes in literature and the professor gets to chose the theme. So the original professor teaching the course had chosen Themes of the Apocalypse in Literature and I showed up to the class and honestly it is full of the most dudes I have ever seen in an elective lit class (that satisfies a US diversity requirement) that I’ve ever been in. Well, the first day a different professor shows up and says the teachers got swapped out and that the themes SHE’S picking to read about are Intersections in Women’s Lives and the class will be heavily focused on feminist theory. The book list?
Crazy Brave by Joy Harjo
Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl by Harriet Jacobs
The Sovereignty and Goodness of God by Mary Rowlandson
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
Farewell to Manzanar by Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston
I’m really excited for this class guys. I love it so far. Maybe I feel a little too much glee about all the dudes who thought they were taking a class about the apocalypse and are now trapped in a feminist theory class but w/e. Maybe even I’m wrong and they’re all really excited about the change too but I doubt it.

The naked female body is treated so weirdly in society. It’s like people are constantly begging to see it, but once they do, someone’s a hoe.
I tweeted about going outside and my buddy wanted proof see
but little did he know I DIDN’T EVEN GO OUTSIDE
